Mrs. Settie Norton
Mrs. Settie Norton, a resident of Gainesboro, died of a heart attack here early yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elva Norton.
Mrs. Norton had been brought to Nashville two weeks ago for treatment.
Although funeral arrangements were not complete last night, the body will be taken today to the home of Mrs. Att Bush, Elmwood, another daughter, and funeral services will be held some time Sunday afternoon. Burial will be in the Darwin Cemetery in White's Bend, five miles west of Gainesboro.
Mrs. Norton was a native of Jackson County and spent her entire life in the Flynn's Lick and White's Bend communities. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Norton of Nashville, Mrs. Bush of Elmwood, Mrs. Mary Bell and Mrs. Ollie Bell of Hartsville, and Mrs. Lizzie Brown of Wisconsin; six sons, Tom H. and Jim Norton of Gainesboro, Charlie of Bloomington, Henry of Nashville, John of Elmwood and Ira Norton of Long Beach, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Johnson, of Flynn's Lick; and a large number of grandchildren .
