Rebecca Cannady Burgess, she was the daughter of Samuel Cannady and Ramie Wood Cannady of Dunn, North Carolina and was raised by her maternal aunt, Shelton Britt and her husband Elwood Britt, also of Dunn, North Carolina. She is survived by her son Stephen Britt and wife angela, three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ben Eugene Burgess, her son Britt Gerald Burgess and her brother James Cannady.
Burial will be at Davidson River Cemetery.
