Michael Joseph Golden, 72, of Chicago. Passed away July 8, 2015 of cancer. Wonderful husband of 35 years of Mary Jane (MJ) nee Jochem. Loving father of Matt. Grew up in Riverside with loving parents John and Kay and sisters Margaret (Larry) Dombrowski, Irene Golden, and Colleen (Jack) Weseloh. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Quincy University. Served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. Mike thoroughly enjoyed his 50-year career as an investment professional for Chicago-area firms and retired from Hovde Group in 2014. Mike's first love was family, never missing date night with MJ nor Matt's baseball games. Favorite and memorable pastimes included skiing in Colorado and fly fishing with his dear friends and Matt. Mike will be remembered for his smile, sunny disposition, quick wit, big heart, and most importantly, his love for family and friends. Visitation Monday July 13, from 5 PM until 9PM at the M.J. Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N Northwest Hwy., Chicago. Funeral Tuesday starting with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30AM to the Church of St. Juliana Mass 10:00AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
