Margaret L. Cardinal, 100, of Belding, passed away Saturday evening, March 21, 2015 in Grand Rapids. Margaret was born on August 13, 1914 in Reed City, the daughter of Cody and Ida (Slighter) Kinney.

Margaret was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Belding, the United Methodist Women, Royal Neighbors, and the Ladies Literary Club of Belding. Margaret was blessed with a long life and enjoyed traveling and reading and listening to music.

She was preceded in death by her husband Durand Cardinal in 1988, her parents, eight sisters, two brothers, a son in law; Thomas Moore, a great granddaughter, a great grandson and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret is loved and survived by her daughters; Norma Moore of Fowlerville, Treva (Richard) Droski of Grand Rapids, eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, March 27, 2015 at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding with Pastor Connie Shatz officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Private committal prayers will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Memorial contributions may be given to the Belding United Methodist Church or the Alvah N. Belding Library. The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff at the Christian Rest Home for the loving care and many acts of kindness given to Margaret.
