Ft. Worth-Funeral services for Nola B. Bailey, age 97, of Ft. Worth formally of Dodd City will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham. Bro. Doug Hendrix will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Dodd City Cemetery.
She passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2010 in Ft. Worth at James L. West Community Hospice Facility.
Nola B. Bailey was born in Dodd City on April 24, 1912 to parents Nolan Brown and Clyde Davis Brown.
She married Walter Douglas Bailey on December 19, 1932 in Bonham, TX; he preceded her in death in 1977.
She was a homemaker and a member of Decatur Ave. Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, TX.
She is survived by children-Walter Douglas Bailey Jr. and wife Jo of Bonham; Mackie Dean Bailey and wife Linda of Watauga, TX; Judy Ann Stewart and husband Buddy of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren Dennis Bailey, Tammy Lewis, David Bailey, Dean Bailey; Shelly Burgett, Darrell Bailey, Jamie Bailey, Guy Bailey, Crystal Bailey; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren, and 2 nephews, along with a host of other family and friends.
Preceeded in death by grandchildren Kenny Stewart, Mackie Bailey Jr., daughter-in-law Joyce Bailey and sister Ida Mae Brewer.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Cox, David Bailey, Dean Bailey, Darrell Bailey, Guy Bailey, and Travis Burgett.
Family visitation will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home from 6-8 P.M.
