Mrs. Mary Jane Howerton, 50 of 109 Offnere St., died at 9 a.m. today at Scioto Memorial Hospital. A native of Powellton, W. Va., she was the wife of Clyde Vernon Howerton.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her father, Giles Allen of Parrish, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Susan Smith of Columbus; three brothers, Everett Allen of London, William Allen of Sarasota, Fla., and Roy Allen of New York City; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Webb, 2101 North Ave., West Portsmouth, and Mrs. Louise Windle of South Solon, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Emrick Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard E. Wilburn officiating. Burial is to be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after Thursday noon.
