Bernard Harmon Peterson of Mitchell, IN, formerly of Peebles, OH, died Friday, July 10, 1998, at his daughter's residence in Mitchell.
Born on May 12, 1910, in Lawshe, OH, he was the son of Jason and Mary Eva (Peterson) Peterson.
He married Mary Eleanor Clark on June 10, 1939, and she preceded him in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Brock of Mitchell, IN; five sons: Oren Peterson of Coalville, UT, David Peterson of Milford, OH, Merlin Peterson of Columbus, OH, Edwin Peterson of St. Petersburg, Russia, and Dale Peterson of Knoxville, TN; twelve grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister, Georgia Tracy.
He was a retired welder and a member of the First Baptist Church in Mitchell.Services for Bernard Peterson will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Country Side Church of Christ in Seaman, OH, with the Bro. Robert Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the Lawshe Cemetery at Lawshe, OH. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday at Chastain Funeral Home in Mitchell and from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles, OH.
