Deborah D. “Debbie” Snyder, 65 years of age, passed away Saturday July 11, 2015 at her residence in Windham. Debbie was born in Akron, Ohio on May 10, 1950, the daughter of the late Simon L. and Evelyn Mae (Hertzog) Justham.

A longtime resident of Windham, she was a graduate of Windham High School in 1968, and was a member of the Windham United Methodist Church. Debbie later attended and graduated from Kent State University School of Nursing in 1995. She proudly served as a registered nurse at Robinson Memorial Hospital for 19 years, retiring in 2013. She held professional membership in Sigma Theta Tau.

Debbie loved her family and early on , Debbie and her children and extended family enjoyed those special times in Pennsylvania at “Camp Little Pine” where memories were created that always will be cherished. Debbie took up photography, and was known to select one special item, be it birds, a plant or whatever she found of interest, and focus on that item in a way everyone will never forget. She was an avid shopper and times spent in Vegas, as well as being a dues paying member of the “Mountaineer Club” were enjoyments she had in life.Debbie found her family, extended family and friends to be the jewels of her life.

On August 24, 1996, she married her beloved husband Philip C. Snyder who survives at their home.Also surviving are her devoted children Christie (Christopher) Shelby of Munroe Falls, Ohio, Angie (Mike) Petelin of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Jennifer (Larry Laird) Snyder of Avon Lake, Ohio and Philip C. Snyder, II of Charleston, South Carolina, her dear siblings Barbara (Don) Vanderbloom and Thomas (Paulette) Justham both of Windham, 8 loving grandchildren and many cherished nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father in 1978 and her mother in 2005.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Green Family Funeral Home & Crematory Service, 4668 Pioneer Trail at the corner of St.Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255, where her funeral service will be held Friday July 17, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Officiating will be Pastor Katherine Thomas of the Windham United Methodist Church. Final resting place will follow at Windham Township Cemetery, where honored to serve as pallbearers will be Christie Shelby, Angie Petelin, Barbara Vanderbloom, Kaiden Wirick, Allison Snyder, Andrean Justham, Neva Witzky and Sarah Kiser.
