Florence passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at the Aberdeen Living Center.

Florence Connor was born Feb. 23, 1915, to Albert and Maude (Bogart) Connor, in Lincoln County near Lennox, S.D.

In 1933 she married Dale C. Potter in Mitchell, where they resided for three years. They moved to Aberdeen in 1936 and have resided here since that time.

Florence loved children very much and babysat children for many years, raising and treating them as though they were her own children.

Florence loved all types of music, spending some of her evenings sitting outside the "Depot" Club listening to rock and roll music. She loved collecting antique dish sets and tea cups, which she kept for many years. Florence enjoyed family picnics where she could visit with her family. Florence was loved by all.

Those grateful for the time to share her life are her late husband, Dale C. Potter; one son, Dale L. "Buz" (Sherry) Potter of Aberdeen; one daughter, Linda K. (Mick) Zerr of Sioux Falls; six grandsons which will be pallbearers: Douglas, Shawn, and Brent Potter, Derin, Brian and Jamie Zerr; six great-grandchildren, Gage, Shay, Korrina, Kira, Tanea, and Jocelyn Rae. Honorary grandchildren are all those she baby sat for.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale C. in April of 2005, two sisters and one brother.
