ALLEY — Mrs. Gertrude Sims Magbee, 93, of Valley died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005 at Lanier Memorial Nursing Home in Valley.
Funeral services are scheduled Friday, Nov. 25 at 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Rev. Wesley Dykes officiating. Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Magbee is survived by her son, Allen Magbee Jr. of Lanett; one sister, Etta Hall of Union Hill; one brother, Thomas Sims of Brooksville, Fla.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Born Jan. 27, 1912 in Chambers County, Mrs. Magbee was the daughter of the late Josephine Mitchell Sims and Charles Sims. She was a homemaker and had lived in the Valley area most of her life. She was of the Baptist faith.
The family will receive friends Friday from noon until the funeral hour at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
