Jerry D. Mardis II born on December 18, 1958 was called to be with his Lord on July 8, 2015. He was born in Plant City,Fl to Jerry D. Mardis Sr. & Patsy Taylor. Jerry served in the USAF for over 26yrs until his retirement in 2003, attaining the rank of SMSgt & continued his civil service career at Lackland AFB. On Feb 21, 2009, he married Elizabeth Zerda. Jerry was a very loving & devoted husband, father & grandfather. He will be especially remembered for being the biggest & kindest heart in our family. Jerry was everyone's best friend & an inspirational leader professionally & personally. He inspired us to achieve our best by his examples of courage, integrity, & humility. He will be greatly missed by all who knew & loved him. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Mardis, sons Jerry Mardis III (Patty) & Joshua Mardis & 3 grandsons, father Jerry Mardis Sr (Santa), mother Patsy Odenbrett, & the Mardis, Favuzza & Zerda families. Visitation will be held at Castle Ridge Mortuary on Wed. July 15,2015 from 12pm-9pm & prayer ceremony at 7pm. A funeral service will be at The Summit Christian Center 2575 Marshall Rd SATX 78259 on Thurs. July 16,2015 at 9am followed by interment at Ft. Sam National Cemetery.
