Meagan "Dude" started going to Tall Timbers, one of Campfire's summer day camps in 2000 and only missed 2 years as a camper and continued as a Junior Staff and Counselor. She brought fun, laughter, and learning to camp. She was eager to help and make sure the campers had a good time. She will be missed greatly.
Dude was young, but she was very special. Some of the words I have heard describing her were: awesome, exceptional, loss for the world, inspiration, enthusiastic, and helpful and I'm sure these are just a few.
Dude left our world early, but we will be waiting to see her again on the other side.
Meagan was to be a senior at WWU this year.
A funeral mass is being held on Friday, July 17th at 11 a.m.at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She is survived by her parents Anthony and Julie Smith.
Our hearts go out to Meagan.
