Mr. Garrett, 85, a retired carpenter, died at his home. He was survived by eight daughters, two sons, a sister, a brother, four stepchildren, 86 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service was to have been held on Apr. 13, 1975 at Elkins-Ouellette Funeral Home with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
