Mary Catherine McCracken, age 89-3-3, was born in Columbia, PA 15 Aug 1880, a daughter of Lorenzo Foultz McCracken and Mary Ellen Wambaugh. The Wambaughs were from Fawn Township in southern York County, PA. Mary grew up in Columbia and as a young woman, was a seamstress. She was married 15 Aug 1907 to Harvey B. Kauffman of Marietta, a son of Isaac B. and Mary Musser (Gottschall) Kauffman. Mary, or Mazie, as Harvey called her, excelled at sewing, cooking and tending her flower gardens. They had four daughters.
