James A. Hilton Rites Tuesday LAMESA (Special) - James A. Hilton, 79, a resident of the Woody community in Dawson County since 1923, died Saturday in the Palmer County Community Hospital. Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First United Methodist Church here with the Rev. Newton Starnes, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Hilton was born June 4, 1892, in Eastland County. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lamesa. Survivors include two sons, Wayne A. Hilton of Clearwater, Fla., and Jene F. Hilton of Littleton, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Myers, Jr. of Friona; five sisters, Mrs. Beulah Saddler and Mrs. Neuda George, both of Lamesa, Mrs. Una Maxwell of O'Donnell, Mrs. Ether Alford of Brownwood and Mrs. Vesta Cozart of Rising Star; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
