Funeral services for Ruby Jewell Bowman, 91 of Putnam County, TN, will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Bro. James Phillips, Bro. Danny Lane, and Bro. Danny Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Brotherton Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 4:00-9:00PM and Sunday after 7:00 AM.
Mrs. Bowman passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:03 PM at her home. Ruby Jewell Bowman was born on April 2, 1924 in Putnam County, TN to the late James Alexander "Jim" and Callie Dona (Cobble) Pharris. She worked for the Acme Boot Company in the Assembly Line, and attended Brotherton Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband: Willis Bowman; 2 Great Grandchildren: Destiny Katie Eldridge and Caleb Dewayne Eldridge; 2 Brothers: Willie H. Pharris and Seborn Pharris; 2 Sisters: Velma M. Wilson and Ethyleen Morgan.
