Mr. Campbell was born in Belgrave, Ontario, on August 18, 1895. He was a retired vice-principal and mathematics teacher at East Elgin Secondary School for 39 years until his retirement in 1957. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church and had been a Rotarian and a member of Malahide Lodge 140 AF & AM for several years. After his retirement he was an investment advisor, in recent years representing District Trust Company in the Aylmer area.
He was predeceased by his first wife Ella (Taylor) Campbell.
Surviving are his wife, the former Rhea Glassford; son, Donald of St. Catharines; daughter, Mrs. William (Audrey) Hodgson of California; sister, Mrs. Viola Wightman Listowel, three grandchildren and four great-grand children.
Mr. Campbell was cremated and a private graveside service was held in Aylmer Cemetery Wednesday, August 22 where the ashes were buried in the family plot.
