Clarence Olin Marler, age 80, passed away of a long illness on July 9, 2015. Olin is survived by his wife, Donna Marler; oldest son, Greg Marler; daughter, Hannah Marler; son, Andrew Marler; grandchildren, Caden Lee Olin Marler, Mallisa Marler Scott and Jacob Marler and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Glen Marler; sisters, Rosemary Leach and Claudine Bowman.

Clarence Olin Marler was born on Oct. 10, 1934, in Destin, Fla., to the late Clarence L. Marler and Gladys Marler. He graduated from the University of West Florida with a BS in Management. He was the President of Greg Marler Charter Boats for over 30 years. Olin was a great family man and a loving father. He married Donna Marler in Destin, Fla., and the couple had two children. Olin was a community minded man and was integral in founding Destin. He enjoyed fishing and family. His family and friends will always remember him as a kind and gentle soul.

A time of visitation will be held on Monday, July 13, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road, N.E. Fort Walton Beach. A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. Interment is to follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
