MRS. ELLEN WEBB POLLY SUCCUMBS
Funeral services for Mrs. Ellen Webb Polly, 83, widow of Bob Polly, were held May 28 at the Thornton Regular Baptist Church in Mayking. Ministers were Elders Bill Sparks, Ismay Sparks, Basil Hall and Ray Collins.
Burial was in the Webb Cemetery at Mayking.
Mrs. Polly died May 25 at the Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Va., after a long illness.
She was a daughter of the late Archie and Nannie Craft Webb. She was a member of the Thornton Regular Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Carl Polly, Brooklyn, N. Y.; Add Polly and Curtis Polly, both of Mayking, and Wiley Polly, Payne Gap; four daughters, Mrs. Nannie Cook, Kona; Mrs. Ida Belle Llndley, Brooklyn, N. Y.; Mrs. Ritter Cook, Norton, Va., and Mrs. Ruth Brown, Whitesburg; a brother, Archie Webb, Portland, Tenn,; a sister, Liza Jane Sexton, Detroit, Mich.; 37 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.
Blair Funeral Home had charge of funeral arrangements.
