Cathie graduated from Valley High School in 1973 and went on to receive a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting at Auburn University. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Double Springs for 25 years.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 from 12-2 pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs, where services will be held at 2 pm. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Double Springs.
