Nail Cooleemee Mary (Nettie) Allen Nail 07/15/1922 - 07/06/2015 Mrs. Mary (Nettie) Allen Nail, 92, of Gladstone Road, died Monday, July 6, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born July 15, 1922, in the Cana Community of Davie County to the late Jacob Josiah and Bertha Cuthrell Allen. Mrs. Nail was a member of First Baptist Church, Cooleemee. She enjoyed working in her garden and had a love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Nail; and five brothers. Survivors include three children, Cornelia Nail of the home, Ronald Nail (Mindy Leonard) of Mocksville and Betty McIntyre (Ronnie) of Woodleaf; five grandchildren, Justin McIntyre, Megan McIntyre, Stephanie Hinz, Ashlee Baune and Meagan Andrade; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 9, at First Baptist Church, Cooleemee with the Rev. Alan Mullins and the Rev. Larry Allen officiating. The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at Eaton Funeral Home in Mocksville. Interment will follow in Rowan Memorial Park in Salisbury. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be considered for First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 615, Cooleemee, NC 27014; or Hospice & Palliative CareCenter, 377 Hospital St., Ste. 103, Mocksville, NC 27028.
