Eureka, Utah, Man Murders His Wife
Turns Gun on Himself and Fires Bullet Through His Own Heart in Jealous Rage.
Butte, Mont., June 24. - Jealous because his wife had attended a dance while he worked at night, Leslie M. Brown, 35 years of age, at 5:30 o'clock this morning fired four bullets into the body of his 20-year-old bride and then turned the revolver upon himself, firing two shots, one of them penetrating his heart. A poem to his mother was the only message left by the slayer. The couple were married in the district court less than three months ago. Both had been previously divorced. The women is survived by one child by her first husband, while Brown leaves two children by his first wife, who are now being cared for by his sister-in-law in Eureka, Utah. Mrs. Brown was known as Mrs. W. H. Knight. The Browns came from Eureka about four months ago.
(Note: This is the shortest article about her murder, other one is just to long for here. Both newspaper articles have got most of the information about Ella May Knight wrong.)
