The funeral service for Delbert Lewis Hunt of Hayward, Minnesota will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2009 at Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel, Albert Lea, Minnesota. Pastor Larry Day will officiate. Interment will be in East Freeborn Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Military honors will be accorded by the Albert Lea Area Veterans Groups.

Delbert was born May, 31, 1930 at Union, Iowa to Charles D. and Ruth C. (Mitchell) Hunt. He graduated from Alden High School at Alden, Iowa. Delbert was a career veteran serving in the United States Air Force. He has been a Freeborn County, resident since 1994. Delbert married Eloise Dolph on November 5, 1999 at Mason City, Iowa.
He was Postmaster at Universal City, Texas. Delbert was a supervisor for Wynn’s Distributing of San Antonio, Texas. He belonged to the American Legion in Texas and Albert Lea. Delbert enjoyed collecting cars and trucks. He especially enjoyed his pet
