Marvelene Holt Hunt, 87, of Georgetown, passed from this life on Friday, June 19, 2015, at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania.
She was born September 15, 1927 to the union of her parents, Walter Holt, Sr., and Zletta Harris Holt.
Mrs. Hunt was a homemaker by choice and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 21, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Pineville with Rev. Danny Gardner officiating.
Interment followed in Big Creek Cemetery of Pollock under direction of Hixson Brother, Inc. of Pineville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 28 years, Milburn H. Hunt; sons, Douglas Knighten and Sammy Adams; brother, W. S. "Buddy" Holt, Jr.; and a sister, Yvonne Evie Goudy.
Survivors include her sons, Richard (Mary Ann) Knighton, John (Pearline) Hunt, and Roy (Tammy) Hunt; daughters, Melanie Ann Ashworth and Jenny Lynn (Charles) Chisolm; brother, John D. (Shirley) Holt; daughter-in-law, Toni Knighten; 20 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 6 great-geat grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.
