Carmela Caranci of Levittown, PA, passed away on Jan. 24, 2014 at St. Mary Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 82. Born and raised in Philadelphia, she resided in Levittown since 1954.
Carmela was employed with Clara Barton Elementary as a cook until her retirement in 1977. She was a long time parishioner of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church where she enjoyed making pierogies with the other women supporting the church.
Carmela was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who’s greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Sr. Carmela will be greatly missed by her children Joseph and his wife Shannon, and Anthony and his wife Jennie all of Levittown. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Natalie Slemmer (Jon), Anthony Jr. (Theresa), and Joseph A. and Michael; and her great granddaughter Gabrielle.
