Edward G. Broman, 75, 7303 N. Alpine Road, died at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 1963, in St. Anthony Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 7, 1888, in Erland Sweden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Broman. Lived 72 years in Rockford, coming here from Sweden. Married to the former Florence Martin in Oregon, May 17, 1919. She died in 1943. Employed as a furniture finisher by Blackhawk Furniture Co. for 20 years. He retired in 1947.
Survivors include: one son, Martin E. Broman, Rockford; three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Burt, Santa Monica, Calif., Mrs. Marie Happ, and Mrs. Elain McMain, both of Rockford; nine grandchildren; one brother, Clarence Braman, Loves Park; three sisters, Mrs. Almeda Olson and Mrs. Ruth Johnson, both of Loves Park, and Mrs. Judith Carlson, Canoga Park, Calif.
Services at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, in Julian-Poorman Funeral Home. Burial in Wiilwood Burial Park.
