Walter Hutchinson, 95: served in World War II:
Lenox - Walter A. "Doc" Hutchinson, 95, of New Lenox Road died yesterday at Berkshire Medical Center shortly after being stricken at home.
Born in Lenox on June 12, 1911, son of Garfield and Minnie Pulshier Hutchinson, he attended local schools and was a 1930 graduate of the former Lenox High School.
Mr. Hutchinson was a veteran of the Army Medical Corps during World War II and served as a surgical technician at Lovell General Hospital at Fort Devens and later Cushing General Hospital in Framingham. He was honorably discharged with the rank of technical sergeant on Dec. 17, 1945.
He owned and operated his own service and gas station, both before and after his military service. It was razed in 1957 so that the site could be used for the North Lenox Package Store, which was built, owned and operated until his retirement in 1977.

He leaves his sister-in-law, Edna Hutchinson, with whom he made his home.

Note: Funeral notices also mentions that he was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence A. Hutchinson and sisters, Dora Kilmer and Albertha Hibbard.
