ELK HORN, Iowa - Eleanor U. LaRue, 97, of Elk Horn, formerly of Springfield, died Friday, May 23, 2003, in Elk Horn. She was born April 24, 1906, in Graham Township, Benton County, Minn., the daughter of John and Julia Reichenseperger. She married Walter W. LaRue in 1931 in Minneapolis; he died in 1989. She also was preceded in death by a stepson, Warren LaRue.
Mrs. LaRue worked as a telephone operator in Minneapolis. She was a member of South Seventh Street Assembly of God Church and Ansarettes. She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors: two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a nephew; two great-nieces; a great-nephew; four great-great-nieces; and three great-great-nephews.
Services: Bisch and Son Funeral Home, the Rev. Ron Conway officiating. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
