Sarah had a son born out of wedlock. Alexander Gideon Newman. Also a daughter Celestia who died as a baby. Sarah married the widower John Edwards. John and Sarah lived on Little Reed west of Hillsville, Carroll Co., VA. In 1900 Sarah is living with son and his family. Though there is no marker for Sarah, she is believed to be buried with her son in the family cemetery.
