1959 Feb 4 - Lansing - George Henry Hill was born Saturday 2 Dec 1899 to William Henry & Virginia Minnetti 'Vergie' (Vandermark) Hill. He moved to the Lansing area from Bellaire 3 years before his death. He was superintendent of Maintenance at Walnut Hills Country Club. He was a veteran of WW II where he served with an air repair group.

Pvt George Henry Hill of 5917 Potter St in Haslett died Wednesday 0\4 Feb 1959 at the age of 59 y 2 m 2 d at a local hospital in the Lansing area after being hositalized in Aug when he underwent cancer surgery. Survivors included 4 sisters, Hattie (Mrs Thomas) Hope of Bellaire, Mrs Dora Drought of Kewadin, Eda & Louie DeJonge I of Eastport and Mrs Minnette V 'Nettie' (Mrs Russell) Marr of Lansing; and 1 brother, Ivan Hill of Lapeer. He was preceded in death by 2 sister, Abbie Hill 8 Dec 1923, Lillian (Mrs Ascph C) Reed; and 1 brother, Lauron William 'Ike' Hill, Jordon Hill.

Funeral services were 2 pm Saturday 7 Feb 1959 at Mathew-Learned Funeral Home in Bellaire.

Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery in Bellaire.
