Jesse Phillips, husband of Margaret Ann Sullivan (1825-1902) was born 1817 in Washington County, MS. All that is known of his parents is that they were both born in GA. He began as a coal miner and later became a farmer. Married in Mississippi in 1846. Settled in Sabine Parish in 1865. No record of burial, although the state archives sent me a copy of his death certificate, which has the date of death, but not which cemetery (there were 2 at the time).
