Hays -- Martina Weigel, 90, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born June 5, 1913, in Munjor to Henry P. and Mary (Stecklein) Leiker.

She married Herbert V. Weigel on May 23, 1933, in Hays; he died April 15, 1988. She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Herbert J. Jr., Hutchinson; three daughters, Susie Ruder, Hays, Mary Ann Taylor, Grand Lake, Colo., and Sheila Rohl, Madera, Calif.; two sisters, Marcella Goetz, Palm Springs, Calif., and Mary Louise Hickman, Carlsbad, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, N.J. Ruder, five brothers, Alfred, Alvin, Edwin, George and Francis, and three sisters, Eleanor Engel, Alexia Rupp and Helen Oltmans.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. A vigil is a 7 p.m. Friday at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Reno County Inc., 1523 E. 20th, Hutchinson, KS.
