Wednesday last, April 21, was decoration day, and from an early hour the cemetery was thronged with visitors. There were no formal exercises, for so general was the interest that few of the graves were left undecorated at least to the extent of sufficient to show that someone yet living remembered the lonely occupant. All day long masses of decorations - baskets of flowers and garlands of evergreens were reaching Evergreen Cemetery, until toward evening our handsome little graveyard looked bright and more than usually attractive.
More noticeable for care and decoration, among others, was the Weisiger plot.
