The Service of Remembrance for Mrs. Elizabeth C. Simon, age 91, of Inverness, Florida, will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Inverness, Florida. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Friday at the Inverness Chapel. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial donations to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, PO Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464. She died July 8, 2015 in Lecanto, FL. She was a homemaker and moved to Inverness from Lisle, IL in 1977. She enjoyed cooking, but her world revolved around her grandchildren and her family. Mrs. Simon was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Volunteer Firefighters and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness. Mrs. Simon was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward G. Simon and 2 brothers, John Lindenbach and Pete Lindenbach. Survivors include 2 sons, James (Joanne) Simon of Hernando and Edward (Mona) Simon of Fort Myers, daughter, Debra Simon of Inverness, sister, Kate Paulsen of South Haven, MI, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
