Robinson, Iowa City, IA, her husband of over 20 years, Gifford Chambers; three children, Jovanis Robinson, Cheryce Chambers, Davenport, IA and Jessica Thames Milwaukee, WI; five brothers, Sherman Robinson, Jacques Robinson (Melissa) Iowa City IA, Christopher (Charlotte) Robinson, Harold Derrick (Betty) Robinson, Davenport, IA, and Wayne Patrick (Cynthia) Robinson, Milwaukee WI; four sisters, Janice Robinson, Huntsville, AL, Wyanet Renee (Louis) Robinson-Chatman, Tara Robinson, and Leslie (Quincy) Robinson, Iowa City, IA; one grandson D’Amerian Peterson; and a host of nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Sherman L. Robinson and a sister Phyllis Robinson.
Stacy, as everyone knew her, was a brave, strong, independent woman. In her early years, she accepted the Lord into her life. As a devout Christian she loved to share God’s word with anyone willing to listen. She took pride in her neighborhood and loved to clean it up when possible. She took care of her husband and family, and loved spending time with her grandson. She was a true free spirit who lived life on her own terms and family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life. She was a great story teller and enjoyed talking about the adventures of her life. Stacy was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her!
You may visit with the family on Friday, July 10th, 2015, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Weerts Funeral Home, 3625 Jersey Ridge Rd, Davenport, IA. Pastor Kenneth W. Maxwell will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow immediately at Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport IA. A funeral reception will follow at the House of the Lord Church, 537 West 15th Street, Davenport, IA. All arrangements are under the direction of Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, IA.
