Warren Stewart, Sr.

On November 06, 1951 in Hearne, TX, a son was born to the late Paulene Gilliam Stewart and the late Commodore Sanford.

He attended Blacksheare School Systems, as well as the College of the Mainland. He was a member of the Plus 3 C.B. Club, a member of the Brotherhood organization, and worked for the City of Texas City. Warren was a faithful husband, father, and provider. A man of many hats.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sons, Warren E. Stewart Jr. (Shelleec), Kevin McGaskey (Angie) and Keith McGaskey; brothers-in-laws John F. McGaskey and George Smith (Kysha); sisters-in-law, Gwen Waire (Leo) and Jackie Smith; step mother, Bessie Sanford; granddaughters, Kennesha McGaskey , LaKeasha Burnet and De’Ashia McGaskey; grandsons, Kevin Kendall McGaskey, Kamden Austin McGaskey, Kevin and Kendre Norris; aunt, Betsy Stewart; godson, Alex Hogues; god mother, Minnie Simmons and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family, and friends. Special Friends: Nancy Rodger (Doug), Darlene Green (Willie), Diana Akbar, Billie Isaac, and Annie Gilbert.

A Public Visitation will be Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 9:00 AM followed by the Funeral Services at 11:00 AM . Both services will be held at St. Luke’s Missionary Baptist Church 1301 Avenue L Galveston, TX 77550. Pastor Charles Wheat will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock, TX. Memorials may be sent to Bay Area Funeral Parlor 5410 FM 1765 Texas City, TX 77591.
