Leroy was born in Vanndale, Arkansas to the late Jai Hubbard and Rebecca (Marshall) White and had been a resident of Marion since 1959. He retired from Marion General Motors after 31 ½ years where he was employed as a supervisor. He was a member of Greater Second Baptist Church and the Prince Hall Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his daughters, Tina (Bruce) Hubbard-Black, Columbus, Ga., Tracei Hubbard, Indianapolis, and Terri (Michael) Hubbard-Jenkins, Orlando, Fla.; sisters, Mary Jane (Cordell) Hare, Tracy, Calif., Margaret White, Vanndale, Ark., Evelyn Johnson, Little Rock, Ark., and Linda White, Vanndale, Ark.; brothers, Tommy (Bertha) White, Reno, Nev., and Ervin White, Little Rock, Ark.; and grandchildren, Brittany Black, O'Brien Black, Courtney Black, Ryan Hubbard, and Michael A. Jenkins; eleven nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Lee White.
