Edward was the son of the late Kenneth Edward, Sr. and Esther Mabel Harmon.

He was retired from a marina, working on and detailing boats.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Harmon, Jr. and George Harmon, Sr.

Survivors include daughter, Misty and husband, Sonny, Mitchell of Mary Alice, son, Eddie Michael Wayne Harmon of Black Mountain, KY, grandchildren, Georgia Mitchell, of Mary Alice, and Ashleigh, Austin, and Alexis Evers of West Virginia, stepson, Donald Bargo, mother of his son, Gracie and husband, Bill, Blevins of Black Mountain, KY, brothers, Michael David Harmon, and sister, Esther Marie Harmon both of New Jersey, niece and nephew, Colleen Marie and William Randy Myers, lll both of New Jersey, special niece, Cheyenne Gray, mother and father in law, Betty and Sonny Mitchell, best friend, best friends Cathy and Johnny Gray, close friends, Sue and Millard Taylor and Gary Burkhart.
