Jessie Marie Sparks, 51, of rural Rockville, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born Feb. 14, 1959, in Danville, Ill., the daughter of Jessie and Bertha Ross. She married, James W. Sparks, of Rockville, on May 11, 1975, and he survives.

She had been a certified nursing assistant with a home health care service. She attended Otterbein United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her mother; three daughters, Shannon (Troy) Truax and grandchildren, Emily and Sara Gossett, and Braeden Truax, all of Clinton, Shawna (James) Whalen and grandson, Dalten Ford of Rockville, Sharlene (Josh) King and grandchildren, James, Izik, Gracie and Audrey King, all of Staunton; and several brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her father; and one granddaughter, Morgan Elizabeth King.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at Butler Funeral Home, 218 N. College St., with the Rev. David Mohler officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at the funeral home, and prior to services Friday. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery.
