Paternal Great Grandmother
Ida's parents, Charles (Carl) and Mary (Maria) emmigrated from Prussia in 1858 with her older siblings (Caroline, Friedr, Gustav and Hellen (Alwine).) She also had an older brother, William, and younger sister, Annie, that were also born in Illinois before the family moved to Iowa. Ida was born in Aurora, Illinois.
There are other versions of Ida's last name. The spelling changed on every documentation. Coming over from Prussia it was spelled Wochisin and it varied from there.....Wokosine, Wokersine, Wokeisen, Wokosien, Wokosin, Wokasien, and Wokusin so far. It has been interesting tracing the family tree.
Ida Louise married Enoch Bush in Avoca, Iowa on September 14, 1880. She had two children in Iowa, Charles Fredrick and Anna Belle before the family moved to Bloomfield, Nebraska where she had Frank Enoch, William Enos and Mary Alvina.
From there the family moved to Bloomfield, Montana a community northwest of Glendive, Montana in a train car in the early 1900's. There the family farmed. Enoch died in 1927. Ida's last days were spent in Milltown, Montana with son, Frank, and his family.
