Gail was born on May 7, 1938, at Braxton County, W.V., to Lloyd and Emma Barnett. He grew up and attended school in West Virginia. Gail moved to Libby in 1960, he worked for J. Neils Lumber Company as a logger for eight years. He then worked as a gyppo logger and truck driver. He married Helen Marquardt in Libby. Gail enjoyed fishing and his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, David. Gail, of Libby, died on Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Wash.
