She was born in Bedford, daughter of the late Weldon and Mary (Burkett) Wright.
Surviving are a sister, Dorothy M. Winfield of Altoona; three nephews: Douglas Murphy of New Paris, Joseph Wright Jr. of Harrisburg and Jeffrey Wright of Lewistown; and two nieces: Angie Murphy of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Kelly Marcum of Chesapeake, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Maureen Murphy-Speicher; a brother, Joseph Wright; and an infant brother, Everett Wright.
Monica was a 1972 graduate of Bedford High School. She retired August 31, 2014, from the Central Intelligence Agency after 25 years of service and had started her career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Monica attended Providence Presbyterian Church, Altoona. She enjoyed photography, cooking, and baking.
