Willie was employed at National Forge, retiring after 40 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, model trains, and was a San Francisco 49ers fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Battles McBride; a sister Pazella Carr; and a daughter, Judy Jones.
Surviving are his children, William McBride (Lucinda) of Avondale, Pa., LaMont McBride (Luann) of Erie, Deaprina McBride McClatchey of Erie, John Hamilton (Chicoya) of Erie and Pamela Williams of Erie; a stepdaughter, Alice Speed of Erie; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and brothers, William Swift (Barbara) and John Swift. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will follow in Erie Cemetery.
