Amanda Elizabeth, daughter of Harry and Susan Stallsworth, was born in Harrison County, Missouri, November 25, 1862 and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maude Baker near Carlisle, Iowa, on May 20, 1938 at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 25 days.
In 1887 she was united in marriage to John Stallsworth in Cainsville, Missouri.
To this union were born seven children. She was preceded in death by her husband and four children.
She was a member of the Christian Church of Cainsville. She spent her entire life in this community with the exception of the past 3 years which she has spent with her daughter because of ill health.
She is survived by three daughters namely: Mrs. Maude Baber of Carlisle, Iowa, Mrs. Addie McAniston and Mrs. Emma Zebrock, both of St. Joseph, Missouri, also by sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. George Austin at the Fairview Church. Interment made in that cemetery.
Mrs. Eliza Zimmerman offered prayer.
"It Is Well With My Soul," "Does Jesus Care," and "Abide With Me" were sung by Frank George, Mrs. Valda Booth, Mrs. Doyle Shipps and Mr. Cal Cain. Mrs. George Austin sang "Heaven Holds All for Me."
The funeral was serviced by the Thomas Funeral Home of Carlisle, Iowa.
