Heather was born March 21, 1977 in Klamath Falls, Oregon the daughter of William and Deborah (Howell) Flumerfelt II. She lived in several communities before moving to Salem, Oregon when she was in the 4th grade. She graduated from South Salem Hugh School in 1995. She attended Chemeketa Community College where she studied to become a paramedic. She worked for several years in Marion County as a paramedic and firefighter. She later worked as a pharmacy technician at the South Salem Wal-Mart. She has resided in Harrisburg for the past two years.
Heather was an excellent mother and was very involved in her son's sports. She loved horses, going to rodeos and parades. She was always willing to help senior citizens.
Heather was married to Christopher Hurst on November 19, 2005 in Cottage Grove, OR.
She is survived by her husband, Chris of Harrisburg, mother, Debbie Flumerfelt of Salem, father, Bill Flumerfelt II of Oceanside, CA, maternal grandmother, Anna May Howell of Moore, OK, paternal grandmother, Carole C. McClintock of Salem, OR, sons, Wyatt Marshall Hurst and Colten Hurst of Harrisburg, brother, William "Billy" Flumerfelt III of Modesto, CA, sister, Karen Flumerfelt of South Bend, WA, two nephews and one niece.
