Petal

Ken Temple, 70, of Petal, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at his residence in Petal. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Petal Chapel of Moore Funeral Home followed by interment in the Sunrise Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Temple was a member of the Turning Pointe Church. He was an operator with Colonial Pipelines for over twenty years as well as a real estate entrepreneur. He was a graduate and supporter of William Carey University. Mr. Temple was deeply committed to and supported the Petal Children's Task Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. S. and Thelma Temple.

Mr. Temple is survived by his wife, Elaine Temple of Petal; a son, Jason (Aimee) Temple of Petal; a sister, Nita Tyrone Gibbs of Poplarville; a sister-in-law, Demaris (David) Lee and two brothers-in-law, Jim Draughn and Mike (Glenda) Draughn, all of Petal; and his beloved Boxer, Molly.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 the Petal Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.

The family has requested that memorials may be directed to the Petal Children's Task Force, 216 West 5th Avenue, Petal, MS 39465.
