June Partridge Warr passed away January 3, 2011 in Moab, Utah. She was born June 3, 1928 in Goshen, Utah the third of thirteen children, to Alma Smith Partridge and Leona Tanner. She grew up on the family farm and attended Payson High School. In 1945, she married Ivan J. Warr. They began their life together in Eureka, Utah and lived there until the 1950s when they moved to Moab, where Ivan was employed in the mines and June worked as a cook at Allen Memorial Hospital. Later, the family moved from Moab to Eureka, Nevada, then to Heber City, Utah, and later to Casa Grande, Arizona. They finally returned to Moab to retire in 1978.

June enjoyed playing the accordion with her friends in the Grand County Senior Citizen Band and the cherished moments with her family members. Growing up a farm girl, she was very skilled at cooking, gardening, and canning. She was especially adept at canning food and when the family's house burned down, the neighbors helped to clear out the debris and found 150 cases of bottled fruits and vegetables.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and son Neil. She is survived by her son Wayne (Connie) Warr, Floyd; and her daughter Linda (Robert) Broadhead.

Services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:00am at the LDS 4th North Chapel. Arrangements are by Kimmerle-Hefner Funeral Home.
