On Saturday, October 9, 1982 at the Health Sciences Centre, Bernard Edward Russin, 61 years, of Winnipeg Beach, Man., dearly beloved husband of, Pat Russin.

Funeral services will be held in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Lake Ave., Winnipeg Beach on Wednesday, October 13 at 11:00 a.m. with · Rev. Genevieve Murdock officiating. Interment will follow in St. George's Anglican Church Cemetery, Wakefield with members of the Legion holding graveside rites.

Left surviving besides his beloved wife is his daughter Heather Dobson and son-in-, law Paul and grandchildren, Jennifer and Brent of Lewiston, Utah; his son Laurence (Laurie) and daughter-in-law Lynne of Tsawwassen, B.C.; four sisters, Mrs. Doris Wolchuk of Winnipeg Beach, Mrs. Ronald S. Brown (Angeline) of Brandon, Mrs. Ron A. Brazier (Agnes) and Mrs. John Chudo (Georgianne), both of Winnipeg; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many loving relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his darling little daughter Karen in 1960.

Ben had been postmaster at Winnipeg Beach since 1959 and took an active part in community affairs, serving as a warden of St. Bartholemew's Anglican Church, as a Winnipeg Beach School Trustee, as secretary of the local Chamber of Commerce, secretary of the Lake Winnipeg Beaches Winter Festival (W.W. W.) and he also served overseas in the Second World War as a signal man (H-77925) with the first Canadian Army Corps and at the time of his passing was past president of the Winnipeg Beach Branch No. 61 of the Royal Canadian Legion.

His pallbearers will be Messrs. Nap Tyler, Charles Rogoski, Richard Cain, Steve Russin, John Schultz and Edward Irving.

In lieu of flowers, it would be very much appreciated by the family that if friends so desire donations may be made in Ben's memory to the St. Bartholemew's Anglican Church Building Fund, care of Mrs. R. A. Cain, Winnipeg Beach Post Office or to the Cancer Research Society, 202-777 Portage Ave.
