Frank Richard Busch, of Yale, passed away at the venerable age of 89 years 1 months and 11 days on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Regency on the Lake, Fort Gratiot. He was born in Detroit, May 27, 1926, the son of the late Joseph and Ida (Nims) Busch.

His marriage of 63 years to Norma “Jean” Rector was January 10, 1949. Norma passed away November 27, 2012.

Frank served his country with the United States Army in Korea with the 742nd Engineer Equipment Company from 1946 to 1947.

Frank owned and operated Yale Standard Gas Station and “Busch Builders” pole barn builders. He started the Busch Subdivision, now known as Clark Avenue in Yale. He was the former Grant Township building inspector for 25 years and bus driver for Yale Public Schools.

He was a longtime member of the Yale Fire Department and past fire chief as well as the Yale VFW Post# 8594 where he was the past commander.

Frank had a great talent in woodworking and would build small-scale construction equipment.

The family honors the memory of Frank and invite you to visit and share memories Sunday, July 12, 2015, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. V.F.W. service at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Rev. Katja Gruening, pastor of Yale First Presbyterian Church, will officiate.

Inurnment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Yale.
