Mrs Christina P Hoffman, 84, died at 3:03 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Medical Center. She was born Dec. 2, 1906, in Edwardsville, Kan., the daughter of George and Minerva Bargar Purtee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion E. Hoffman, in 1977. Mrs. Hoffman had been a member of South Side Christian Church for many years. She was active in numerous church activities and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are a son, Eurel Hoffman of Springfield; a daughter, Mrs. David (Sherry) Kapshandy of Riverton; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Thelma Cox of Bonita, Calif., Ora Moore of Chilanesta, Calif., Ruth South of El Cajon, Calif., and Lola Donahue of Forsyth, Mo.; and two nieces.

Services at South Side Christian Church. Burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
